Draftmans/ operators stool by Glenister, WW2
Oak and beech adjustable stool made by Glenisters of High Wycombe, England and supplied to Tyzacks as agents for the War Ministry in the early 1940s.
This example is in very good condition retaining the original rexine covering which we have given new life to. It has a good patina and appears not to have been repolished. We have had one before that was dated 1943 impressed and another one identical is to be listed soon by us, also with the same date, however this chair carries no marks but can assume it is around the same date.
Intended to be used by a draughtsman, the Ministry of War gave them to radio operators also.
The seat smoothly revolves so is height adjustable from 46cm to 56cm height from floor.
Seat width is 40cm, depth 36cm. Overall chair height 90cm.
